SquareTack introduced a different type of social interaction. Instead of organizing content mainly around accounts or timelines, the app connected every post to a physical location.
The app lets users attach photos, videos, and personal notes to the exact place where an experience happened. People can revisit their own memories or discover moments, recommendations, and local tips left by others at the same location.
Relia Software developed the mobile product around a simple idea: capture an experience and leave it at the place where it happened.
Location-Based Tacks: Users could create posts linked to their current GPS location.
Photo, Video, and Text Posts: Each tack could preserve a visual memory, personal thought, recommendation, or practical tip.
Location Discovery: Users could explore content that other people had attached to places around them.
Map-Based Experience: Location data and social content were presented together so users could understand where every memory was created.
Experience Categories: The platform supported several types of location-based content, including moments, views, tastes, and inside tips.
Social Sharing: Users could share experiences with friends and family while contributing useful information for future visitors.
User Experience Design: Relia designed the main flows for capturing, publishing, exploring, and revisiting location-based content.
Location-First Content Model: Each tack was structured around geographic coordinates, allowing the platform to retrieve content according to where it was created rather than relying only on a conventional social feed.
Focused Publishing Flow: Relia reduced the process to a few clear actions: capture a moment, add context, confirm the location, and publish it.
Combined Map and Content Experience: Map information was connected with visual content so users could move naturally between discovering a place and viewing the experiences attached to it.
Mobile Media Workflow: Photo, video, text, and location information were managed as one post, giving users a consistent experience regardless of what they wanted to preserve.
Experience-Based Organization: Moments, views, tastes, and local tips helped distinguish personal memories from practical recommendations and made nearby content easier to understand.
SquareTack launched its iOS application across North America in April 2016.
