Challenges

Shareconomy was built around a very real business problem: many factories had unused production capacity, while others companies needed extra capacity but could not afford to build new facilities or buy new equipment.

The platform needed to make unused capacity easier to find and use.

  • For factory owners, it had to turn idle machines, space, and manpower into new business opportunities.
  • For capacity seekers, it had to help them search across different industries such as engineering, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals without relying on manual calls, referrals, or long offline negotiations.

Trust was also important. Industrial users do not choose partners casually. They need clear listings, relevant details, and a platform structure that makes capacity sharing feel practical and reliable.

Scope Of Work

Relia worked on the key parts of the Shareconomy platform, including

  • UX design
  • UI development
  • Backend development
  • Admin panel development

Solution

The work covered both sides of the marketplace. Capacity owners needed a simple way to list available production resources, while seekers needed a clear search and discovery flow to find the right partners.

Behind the scenes, Relia also built the backend logic and admin tools needed to manage listings, review activity, and support platform operations.

Tech Stack:

  • Ruby on Rails
  • Bootstrap
  • HTML/CSS

Results & Impact

Shareconomy showed strong early traction as an industrial marketplace:

  • 500+ listings
  • 100+ shared capacities
  • 20–30% improvement in manufacturing capacity utilization among partners.
